The sensational newly-released 2017 vintage Burgundies are the current stars of our French collection. Crafted in small batches by Pascal Marchand in his winery in Nuits-Saint-Georges, these Pinot Noirs reflect clearly the strength of a vintage which has been hailed as "a modern classic". They will drink beautifully as young wines and also richly reward cellaring. In Pascal's own words: "...we love the wines of 2017, they have bright forward fruit that might be hiding their depth, but they have great depth. They are very good to taste now; they didn't go into a shell. They are very good young and will still be there and showing well in 10 to 15 years time" The collection below also features some exclusive and limited wines from previous vintages. All Marchand & Burch Pinot Noirs are sealed with a screwcap so you can enjoy their youthful vibrancy and also cellar them with confidence. The Cremant de Bourgogne NV is an absolutely delightful aperitif style sparkling made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir using the traditional method, and our Gamay from the Cru of Morgon is a fine example of the stunning recent resurgence of the Beaujolais region and an immensely pleasurable wine to drink.
The Australian Collection
In 2007, Pascal Marchand and Jeff Burch started the Marchand & Burch label with three wines - Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Shiraz. Today, the range has extended to four wines with two Pinots from Mount Barrow and Gibraltar Rock. The collection is evolving with new clones coming from France to enrich the Marchand & Burch quality. Biodynamics and organic vineyard management are practiced with all Marchand & Burch wines, though not certified.
