2007 Chambertin Clos de Bèze

Tom Cannavan, Wine-Pages, October 2009
"More advanced colour than the first wine. Huge, inviting, luxurious nose, with masses of warm spice, earthiness and exotic Sandalwood notes. Much more forward on the palate too, with an open texture, lots of fine, dry fruit of cherry and Christmas cake spices, the coffeeish warmth and developing, earthy sweetness just so charming. Drinking beautifully already - totally different style to first wine, but a delight."

Sarah Ahmed, The Wine Detective, 17 December 2009        "More developed in colour with a lovely nose showing game and spice. Quite lavish oak sits atop the palate but, as it unfurls with time in the glass, the palate builds showing an impressive heft of black and red fruits with a dusting of asian spice. The tannins are savoury and firm, a touch dry at present on the finish, but this has lots of potential and I really like the flavour spectrum."

James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion 2011 Edition
"Clear crimson-purple; stands apart from the best Australian pinots with its extra dimension of ripe tannins, and the way the flavours swell on the finish and aftertaste."
